Tips to Keep You Safe on the Road During COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 Travel Essentials That You Should Always Bring

If you haven’t had the COVID-19 vaccine or even if you are vaccinated against COVID-19, you still have to follow these tips to protect yourself and others from being infected or infect someone when you travel:

1. Face Mask

This is our number one Covid essential especially if we are going in public spaces with lots of people. Open spaces generally are safe to go mask free but you would never know when a lady would suddenly cough at your face so better keep some on your COVID19 bag.

2. Disinfecting Alcohol

Our COVID19 bag essentials won’t be complete without 70% alcohol. Disinfecting all surfaces and items would keep us safe that is why we should always have a bottle of rubbing alcohol handy.

3. Wipes or Tissue

Not just to clean your face and hands but also surfaces like public seats and counters. Spray alcohol to more effectively clean and disinfect your hands when you can't wash them.

4. Hand Sanitizer

Bring a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol for those times when you can't wash your hands.

Is it safe to travel during the pandemic?

The straight answer is no but you still can safely go out with caution. You are probably tired of staying at home (like us!) and a breath of fresh air can do wonders not only for your health but also for your state of mind.

Follow these tips to protect yourself and others when outside. Don’t forget your COVID19 bag essentials to make sure you don’t take the virus home.

Tips to Keep You Safe on the Road

  1. Maintain a social distancing
Vaccinated or not, we are all at risk of COVID-19. Maintain at least 2 meters from anyone and never eat with people who are not a member of your household. Go to wide, open spaces like a park and enjoy the sun!

  2. Disinfect everything you touch
Remember to use alcohol first before touching your face or just avoid touching it. Disinfect after you touch anything and wash your hands before eating. Keep a spray of alcohol in your bag for easy access.

  3. Avoid Contact With Sick People
Talking to people with illness might be putting both of you at risk of infecting each other.

Can I disinfect my leather bag with alcohol?

Alcohol is not good for leather. In the same way that the sun damages your leather bag, alcohol dries out the natural oil of your leather items.

Unfortunately, rubbing alcohol is a common bag essential to disinfect with during the pandemic. You should just remember to keep it on your hands and off your leather bags. If you need to wipe off stains or clean it, use an alcohol-free baby wipe to do so.

Keep your hands dry when touching your leather bag. If in case some alcohol got into your leather bag, get a leather conditioner and try to rub the spots out as soon as you can. If not available, wipe the area or spot with your palm to help restore the oil naturally.
